Position Summary
The Senior Projects Lead will have a professional background in biology, forestry, or a related field. This role supports the GM in business development, client relations, team leadership, and project delivery for mining, hydro, and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned with CCE’s mission.
- Build relationships with major clients in mining, construction, hydro, and government.
- Identify new service offerings and business opportunities.

Operations & Project Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget.
- Coordinate field crews in remote northern BC locations.
- Create project proposals and budgets for new business procurement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and safety standards.

Team Development
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team.
- Foster collaboration, learning, and accountability.
- Support career progression through training and professional development.

Client & Community Engagement
- Cultivate respectful relationships with clients, governments, and Tsay Keh Dene citizens.
- Represent CCE at conferences and community events.
- Ensure services reflect Nation values and priorities.

Field Work
- Travel to support field crews as needed.
- Organize field schedules and distribute workloads.
- Review and implement environmental management plans on site.

- Promote CCE’s safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety laws and regulations.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in environmental science, biology, natural resource management, or related field.
- 7–10 years leadership experience in environmental consulting or related field.
- Professional designation (RPBio, RPF, or PAg).
- Experience managing complex projects and teams.
- Strong technical report writing and regulatory knowledge.
